I started this company in 1982 with nothing more than a vision and a deep desire to make a difference in this world. Even though I had lost everything I had within six months, I was able to recover and start again. As the business started to grow, I relocated to California in 1985 to take advantage of the high tech energy in Silicon Valley.<\/p>

Since then, we have grown considerably and have touched many people\u2019s lives. We have set up offices all over the world and have established ourselves as the world leader in cleanroom contamination monitoring and particle measurement instrumentation manufacturing in many different industries.<\/p>

Dr. Tae Yun Kim<\/a>, CEO,\u00a0Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions,<\/a>\u00a0headquartered in Silicon Valley, was recently named winner of a Gold Lifetime Achievement Award during the 16th\u00a0Annual\u00a0American Business Awards\u00ae<\/a>\u00a0at a gala ceremony attended by 500+ guests at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.<\/p>

The awards are the U.S.A.\u2019s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations \u2013 public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.<\/p>

More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.\u00a0Dr. Tae Yun Kim<\/a>\u00a0was nominated for a Lifetime Achievement under the Management category for Business Products Industries.<\/p>

Surviving the Korean War in the 1950\u2019s, she eventually became one of the\u00a0highest-ranked female martial artists in the world<\/a>\u00a0and coached the first U.S. women\u2019s Taekwondo team at the 1978 Pre-World Games in Seoul, Korea.<\/p>

Though from birth she faced severe challenges as well as prejudice as a woman, she went on to be named \u201cWoman of the Year\u201d in California and to win a Susan B. Dr. Kim rose from not speaking English upon arriving in America to becoming an international speaker and author.<\/p>

Starting at age seven, she broke 5000 years of tradition prohibiting girls from training in taekwondo. In 1978, she paved the way for women to compete in the Olympics by leading the first U.S. women\u2019s team to victory at the Pre-World Games in Seoul. Today she is a Ki-energy Master and the highest-ranked female martial artist in the world.\u00a0<\/p>

Not speaking English when she immigrated to America in 1969, her first job was a motel janitor. \u00a0Today, she has won California\u2019s Woman of the Year, the Susan B.
